RING 1 – PONIES STARTING @10:30AM
IN HAND PONIES
Prizes: 1 st - €50, 2 nd - €30, 3 rd - €20.
Entry fee: €12 per class
Class 1 (I 1). Young Handlers Class – Best turned-out young handler and pony combination. mare or
gelding, 4 years old and over. Handlers under 10 years. Parents may assist younger handlers. Prizes
for all.
Class 2 (I 2). Young Handlers Class – Best turned-out young handler and pony combination. mare or
gelding, 4 years old and over. Handlers over 11 - 16 years old. Prizes for all.
Class 3 (I 3). Connemara pony – mare or gelding, 4 & 5 year-olds - to be shown in hand.
Class 4 (I 4). Connemara pony – mare or gelding, 6+ year olds - to be shown in hand.
In Hand Pony Championship: Confined to 1st & 2nd Prize-winners in Classes 1-4 (I1 – I4).
RIDDEN PONIES – (Mares & Gelding only – NO Stallions)

Class 6 (P 2). Show Hunter First Ridden Pony - ponies, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not
exceeding 123cm. Suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 9th birthday
on 1st January of current year. Prizes for all.
Class 7 (P 3) First Ridden Show Hunter Pony - ponies, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not
exceeding 123 cm. Suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 10th birthday on 1st January of current year. Prizes for all.
Mini Pony Championship: Confined to 1st & 2nd Prize-winners in Classes 5,6,7 (P1, P2, P3).

Hunter Pony Championship: Confined to 1st & 2nd Prize-winners in Classes 8,9,10 (P4, P5, P6).
Class 11 (P 7). Intermediate Ridden Class – ponies, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Height:
153-158cm - to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 25th birthday on 1st January of
current year.
Class 12 (P8). Open Mountain & Moorland Ridden Class - ponies, mare or gelding, 4-year-old and over, not exceeding 148cms, to be ridden by riders who have not attained their 25th birthday on 1st January of current year.
Class 13 (P 9). Novice Ridden Connemara - ponies, mare or gelding, 4 -6 years old. Rider of any age.
Class 14 (P 10). Open Ridden Connemara - ponies, mare or gelding, 6 years old and over. Rider of any age. Kindly sponsored by Sexton Lanscaping
Heritage Pony Championship: Confined to 1st & 2nd Prize-winners in Classes 12,13,14 (P8, P9, P10).
Judge will not ride in pony classes - Riders will perform a show piece of their choice for the Judge.
